What is Activ8?

Activ8 is a uniquely effective disinfectant. It is scientifically proven to be highly effective against a wide spectrum of bacteria, viruses and fungi including: Avian Flu, SARS, MRSA, MSSA, Noro Virus, Hepatitis B/C and Tuberculosis.

How does Activ8 work?

Activ8 works by irreversibly binding, penetrating and immobilising bacteria, viruses and fungi so that they cannot replicate, leaving surfaces disinfected and safe to use. Activ8 reduces contamination on surfaces in less than five minutes and maintains this low level of contamination for more than 24 hours.

How can you be sure that bacteria, viruses and fungi will not develop resistance to Activ8?

Activ8 uses a combination of active ingredients to provide a multi-layered attack on micro-organisms. Our rigorous scientific trials have shown that specific bacteria, viruses and fungi are unable to develop resistant strains and the “combination” nature of the product’s formula provides significant protection against antimicrobial resistance developing to the product in the future.

What proof do you have that the product is effective?

Activ8’s effectiveness has been proven in rigorous scientific trials from bodies including the Centre for Infectious Diseases, Queen Mary’s School of Medicine; the Hospital Infection Research Laboratory, Birmingham; and the Health Protection Agency Regional Laboratory, Bristol. Activ8 has proved effective against every bacteria, virus and fungi we have tested, including: Avian Bird Flu, SARS, MRSA, Noro Virus, Hepatitis B/C and Tuberculosis.

Will the product still be effective against Avian Bird Flu if the virus mutates and combines with the human flu virus?

Activ8 has proved effective against every bacteria, virus and fungi we have tested. Our rigorous scientific trials show that Activ8 is able to crack the membrane of the human and bird flu viruses so we can be extremely confident that Activ8 would be effective if these circumstances arise.

Is Activ8 effective against Clostridium Difficile (C. Difficile)?

Activ8 has proved effective against every bacteria, virus and fungi we have tested including MRSA. C. Difficile is a particularly challenging strain of bacteria because it produces spores. While we are confident that Activ8 can tackle the C. Difficile organism, we have yet to prove that it can stop all sporicidal activity. We plan to do this over the next six months to add to our scientific portfolio on this ground breaking product.

If it’s this powerful, how can we be sure this product isn’t harmful/toxic or bad for the environment?

The toxicity trial carried out by Safepharm Ltd has shown that the active ingredients in Activ8 do not pose a risk to human health or the environment. Activ8 is an extremely powerful cleaner and disinfectant which is less toxic than household soap and mild enough to be used as hand wipes. This makes it ideal for use in the home or in the front line of infection control in hospitals where the product can be used to stop the spread of infection with no risk to patients or staff and no need for expensive ward closures.
